Watch a 625-Ton Wall in Milwaukee Being Moved

As part of a major renovation of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s Grand Theater, the original 1931 rear wall was moved 35 feet. C.D Smith Construction pulled off this incredible feat by placing the entire wall on a set of tracks and rolling it back.

The renovation has been done to accommodate a larger stage, and as someone who is an advocate of restoring and maintaining historic buildings, it’s wonderful to see how they managed to keep this historic wall.
